6 Types Of Body Fat And How To Get Rid Of It

As we age, our metabolism begins to slow down. Because of this, we begin to put on weight and gain fat in certain areas. Not only that but as we get older, we endure more responsibility which means our schedules get extremely busy. A busy schedule can interfere with keeping our bodies healthy. This could mean avoiding exercise because you’re exhausted, or abandoning a healthy diet because you don’t have time to make your meals. With that said, there are different types of body fat that you can develop.

There are many ways to get rid of excess weight, and there are many different studies that can back them up. But there is one issue that can arise. One method could work for one person but not work for another. The reason is that everyone has different body types. So if we can understand how our body gains weight, we can effectively lose it.

Below are the most common types of body fat and how to get rid of them.

Upper Body Fat: The easiest explanation for gaining upper body fat is that you’re consuming more calories than you’re burning. People often overeat and avoid physical activity. The easiest solution is to try and eliminate sweets from your diet and try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Try doing aerobic exercises including walking and swimming.

Lower Abdomen Fat: This type of body fat usually occurs in women. Some of the reasons why fat begins to store itself in the lower part of the body are because of depression, stress, and anxiety. To get rid of lower abdomen fat, try to relax and avoid stress. The stress hormone cortisol is one reason why fat accumulates in the abdomen. Try doing yoga or breathing exercises to relax. Or even drink green tea.

Lower Body Fat: If you notice that your thighs are becoming bigger, it could be because you are consuming too much gluten. If you’re not happy with this, you might want to try eating some gluten-free food. To get rid of it, you will want to try using a stair master. It will also help you tone up your legs. Another helpful tip is to try and eat breakfast every day. If you don’t start your metabolism in the morning, you could end up eating more throughout the day.

A Swollen Stomach: The fat in the stomach is largely due to excessive alcohol consumption and possible breathing difficulties. The easiest way to reduce a swollen stomach is to cut back on the alcohol consumption.

Lower Body Fat In the Legs: This type of body fat is common for women that have leg pain issues or develop this fat during pregnancy. To avoid this, try to stop eating any salty foods. Salty foods cause fluid retention in your body.

Big Stomach With Upper Back Fat: The main reason behind this is the lack of physical activity. Daily exercise will help regulate your blood sugar levels. You must also try to reduce your meal size as well. If you consume more calories than you burn, excessive fat will develop in your stomach and upper back. Another helpful tip is to get a sufficient amount of sleep. Lack of sleep can cause changes in your hormones which can increase your appetite. An increased appetite can lead to weight gain, which can lead to fat being stored in your belly and back.

The key to a healthy diet is to have the right components in it. You need to have a sufficient amount of protein. This will give you that energy to keep on going. Another component you need to have in your diet is fat. Granted, there are a lot of bad fats that you can consume, but good fats have a lot of health benefits. They protect your brain and heart. Omega-3 fatty acids are a perfect example. They are essential for your physical and emotional health.

Having a diet that consists of foods that are high in fiber is essential. It can help lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and a stroke. It can also help you lose weight and improve your skin tone. To maintain healthy bones and teeth, you need to consume a sufficient amount of calcium. Calcium also helps send messages through the nervous system and regulate the heart’s rhythm.

A Month Before A Heart Attack, Your Body Will Warn You With These 8 Signals

In a world full of diseases and conditions, researchers and scientists are constantly searching for cures. But the easiest way to deal with a disease and condition is trying to prevent it before it occurs. Granted, a lot of diseases and conditions are genetic, so it’s almost impossible to prevent those. But something like a heart attack can be prevented. Heart attack signals are constantly present and by not acknowledging them, you increase the risk of them occurring.

More than 90 million Americans suffer from some form of heart disease. Without a properly functioning heart, the rest of the body will fail. No heartbeat means no life, and the more damage you cause to your heart, the higher the risk of it stopping completely.

With that said, there are heart attack signals that will surface a month before it will happen. It’s our job to acknowledge them and not ignore them. It could save our lives. Below are top heart attack signals that will occur a month before it will happen.

Cold Sweats and Dizziness: When your body has poor blood circulation, your brain will not receive the proper blood flow that it requires to function properly. This is a sign that you may be in some danger. You should seek medical attention if the cold sweats and dizziness do not subside.

Chest Pressure: This is one of the most noticeable heart attack signals. It’s called angina. This is caused when your heart is not getting enough oxygen-rich blood. Many people ignore this symptom because they think it’s just indigestion. But if the pressure is constant, it’s a direct sign that a heart attack may happen.

Feeling Weak: If you start to sweat and feel weak, or start experiencing nausea and jaw pain, you might be in danger of having a heart attack. These symptoms occur because your arteries are starting to narrow. When your arteries become narrow, there is no longer proper blood flow throughout the body. If your heart does not get sufficient, blood, it will fail.

Flu-Like Symptoms: If you are in danger of having a heart attack, you may begin to develop flu-like symptoms. These symptoms include fever, fatigue and chest pain. These symptoms can last between 2 to 10 days. Depending on your age, if you’re an older individual and can’t shake these symptoms, go see your doctor immediately. Let me be clear though; if you get the flu or a cold, it does not mean you are in danger of having a heart attack, but the symptoms need to be monitored.

Chronic Fatigue: If you are constantly feeling tired and sluggish, and it’s unprecedented, there might be a loss of blood flow to your heart. This generally occurs when there is a large buildup of plaque in the arteries that carry the blood to-and-from the heart.

Shortness of Breath: Another organ that suffers from loss of blood flow is the lung. If your lungs do not receive enough blood, you will not be able to breathe enough air. If you don’t breathe enough air, your brain will not be able to receive enough oxygen. Not breathing enough air will result in shortness of breath.

Insomnia: If you are having trouble going to sleep, this can lead to a heart attack. Most people that suffer from insomnia are also suffering from anxiety and depression. Anxiety can increase your blood pressure which can lead to a heart attack. Research has shown that depression and heart attacks are linked, so trying to figure out what’s making you sad could save your life.

Stomach Pain: If you start to feel abdominal pains such as nausea and bloating, it could be an early sign of a heart attack. It could just as easily be nothing serious, but abdominal pains before a heart attack will leave and return in short periods of time.

Former White House Employee Perfectly Sums Up The Difference Between Trump And Obama

Ever since Donald Trump was elected, the people of the United States have endured one of the more controversial presidencies in their nation’s history. It has now officially reached the one-year mark, and naturally, people are making comparisons to past presidents. With the endless buzz surrounding Trump and his questionable ways, people have inevitably fallen back on their favorite presidents of the past and reignited their appreciation for them. A former White House employee perfectly summed up the difference between Trump andObama, with first-hand evidence from within the walls themselves.

When Barack Obama was elected, America seemed to have found a new hope. The first African-American president was here, and a new day had arrived for the people of the United States. To the public eye, Obama was always a man of the people, admired and revered as one of the more personable presidents of our time. He was re-elected for a second term, with his immense popularity enabling him to lead a nation once more. Although he was criticized for what he did and didn’t get done, he did break down walls that stood tall before him and won the hearts of his citizens with ease. A sense of unity was widespread among the people of America again, with a leader that exemplified the hope that was within each citizen.

Following his departure, the people of America made history again, with the election of Donald J. Trump, a renowned businessman who entered the White House without a political background. The sense of unity had seemingly begun to evaporate, as the election brought forth a time where America has arguably never been more divided. With rash decisions like the construction of a wall, racism towards Mexicans, and advocating for a ban on people from certain Muslim countries, Trump has led one of the more protested and criticized presidencies of all time. Among controversial tweets and public provocations towards world leaders, he has instilled fear in his people who never know what his next move might be, or what conflicts may arise as a result.

To many, the difference between Trump and Obama is clear, however, nobody can tell it better than a former White House employee himself, who shares a touching anecdote of his encounter with former President Obama, which is very telling.

Gary Lee, who worked as an aide to Barack Obama during his term, recounted a heartwarming story of his time working for him, and how it contrasts with Trump’s actions towards his staff. In what would be a series of his very first tweets, Lee went on to speak his mind to the Twitterverse. He began with addressing Trump’s upsetting remarks from this past week, where he had asked an Asian American where they were from.

When she replied with New York, he persisted and asked again where she was really from. He wanted to know where “your people are from” and upon finding out, wondered why the “pretty Korean lady” wasn’t negotiating with North Korea on his administration’s behalf. Coming from an Asian background, Lee was affected by these remarks, as they heavily contrasted the way in which Obama had treated him.

On his last day working for Obama, he entered the Oval Office and was greeted in Korean by the president himself, a moment that was captured on camera. It had been a lifelong dream of Gary Lee’s to work in the government, but he never thought it would happen. He took a shot at applying before graduation, and to his surprise, he received a call back to come and work on Obama’s campaign. Never would he have imagined, that at the end of his time working with the president, he would be greeted in his very own parents’ native language, a story that brought tears to his eyes. His parents never could’ve imagined, upon coming to the country with very little and making the sacrifice for their son’s sake, that it would amount to a moment like this. Upon sharing this story, Gary Lee reflected on America as a country, and how no place else would grant him the opportunity he was given.

Gary Lee and his story are a true example of the American dream. Found in the Declaration of Independence itself, “all men are created equal” with the “right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, something that Lee encapsulates considering his ethnic background, and his will to achieve his dream and potential, like all who should have that opportunity. Differences should be celebrated, not condemned, and an equal opportunity and right should be given to all in the United States of America.

Mother Reveals She Charges Her Five-Year-Old Daughter Rent

Making a five-year-old pay rent is a little crazy, but the way this mom is doing it is actually completely brilliant. Meet Essence Evans. Once parents read what Evans wrote on her Facebook, they were praising her for preparing her daughter for the real world. Essence explained that she takes most of her daughter’s allowance for ‘rent’. But unlike real landlords, Essence doesn’t keep that money for herself. She actually tucks that money away in a savings account for her little girl.

On her Facebook, Essence wrote “I make my five-year-old pay rent. Every week she gets $7 in allowance. But I explained to her that in the real world most people spend most of their paycheck on bills with little to spend on themselves. I make her give me $5 back. $1 for rent $1 for water $1 for electricity $1 for cable and $1 for food”.

The mother continued writing that once the 5-year-old’s ‘bills’ are paid, Essence’s daughter either chooses to save the remaining $2 or spend it however she pleases. Once the little girl turns 18, she gets all the money she paid for ‘rent’ back. In the meantime, Essence keeps it in her savings account. How genius is that?

Essence continued writing, “So if she decides to move out on her own she will have $3,380 to start off.” She is confident that doing this strategy will ensure that her daughter will be fully prepared for the real world. In the long run, her daughter will be forever thankful that her mother did this. She noted in her post, “When they see how much real bills are they will appreciate you for giving them a huge discount.”

The mother ended her post telling other parents that they should do the same with their children. Her post was shared more than 313,000 times and thousands of people have given her nothing but respect for teaching her daughter an important lesson about money and saving at such an early age.

Melissa Thomas is one person who was praising Essence, writing, “You are brilliant for teaching this to your child in this way! I have done similar with my kids, and I am now the proud parent of two young ladies who know and respect what they can earn more than something given to them.” Another mom wrote, “I did a similar version of this when my boys were little, they have turned out to be amazing men and fathers, great with money, taking care of their children, owning their home, paying mortgages down, staying out of debt.”

Of course, with those who respect and admire what Essence is doing, not everyone can agree with her tactic. There were many who showed a bit of worry regarding what Essence was doing, saying that it adds unnecessary stress on her daughter at such a young age. One person wrote, “It’s YOUR job to raise your child. Put the money in a savings account if you want, but no child should be made to feel that they should pay for what a parent should provide”. What do you guys think?

Donald Trump Says A Baby Born In The Ninth Month “Is Wrong” And “Has To Change”

Another day, another headline, for the President of the United States. Speaking at the 45th annual March For Life this past week, Mr. Trump took the opportunity and revisited his opinion on abortion. This time around, he made a remark that left people questioning and scratching their heads.

donald trump says a baby born in the ninth month is wrong

“Right now, in a number of states, the laws allow a baby to be born from his or her mother’s womb in the ninth month. It is wrong. It has to change.” said the President, leaving audiences baffled.

It is common knowledge that a full-term pregnancy requires nine months, in which the baby is then conceived from the mother’s womb.  To say that a natural process is “wrong” and “has to change” is something that should perhaps be taken up with God, as Jimmy Kimmeljoked about on his late-night talk show

Having a history of being pro-choice, Trump has been no stranger to voicing his opinion about abortions. After becoming president, he took a strong stance against abortion and has proclaimed his thoughts about it on a number of occasions. However, there are some people giving him the benefit of the doubt this time around.

There are those who believe that he in fact meant to say “torn from his or her mother’s womb” which would justify his stance on abortion.

During the 2016 presidential debate with Hillary Clinton, Trump made it clear that he was against abortion by claiming that doctors could “rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby.” This contradicted his earlier statement back in 1999, during an interview with NBC’s Meet The Press, where he supported women’s access to abortion, and even though he “hated the concept of abortion”, he was “very pro-choice.”

Activists, doctors, and women’s health advocates spoke out on the matter, in fact, Dr. Jen Gunter, who has performed many abortions, stated on her blog, “There are no ninth month abortions. Really. A ninth month abortion is a unicorn and so it’s ridiculous to even discuss it.” She went on to add, “I have no idea what Trump is talking about” and that she knows “much more about this subject than Donald Trump or any of his advisers can ever hope to know.”

As it has many times before, the words of Donald Trump have sparked an outcry and debate. We can only speculate what it was he exactly intended to say, but nonetheless, it is yet another controversial and unconventional remark from the mouth of the President himself.

Oxford University scientists gave babies trial TB vaccine ‘that did not work on monkeys’

Oxford University is embroiled in an ethics row after scientists were accused of questionable conduct over a controversial trial of a new vaccine on African babies.

Professor Peter Beverley, a former senior academic at the university, complained that scientists planned to test a new tuberculosis vaccine on more than a thousand infants without sharing data suggesting that monkeys given the immunisation had appeared to “die rapidly”.

“Certainly here in this experiment there was no evidence whatsoever that this is an effective booster vaccine,” Prof Beverley said.

He claimed the information was not given to regulators when an application to do the trial was initially submitted.

In the monkey study, five out of six of the animals infected with TB who were given the experimental vaccine had become “very unwell” and had to be put down.

An information sheet given to families in South Africa participating in the trial said the vaccine had been tested on animals and humans and was “safe and effective” in animals.

Professor Jimmy Volmink, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Stellenbosch University, told The Telegraph the information sheet did not appear to reflect the evidence from the monkey study, which was “not right”.

He said people affected by tuberculosis were often poor and “not very highly educated”, making it particularly important that they were given “clear, understandable information.”

Almost 1,500 babies in South Africa received the new jab and parents were paid in the region of £10 for taking part.

The South African regulator which approved the trial admitted to this newspaper that the information sheet given to parents “could be construed as misleading”, raising questions about whether families were sufficiently informed.

The scientists at Oxford who carried out the trial maintain that the jab was safe for children and that their experiment was approved by several regulators in advance.

They said they followed the infants’ development for two years after the immunisation was given – a time period approved by the regulators.

The monkey study that concerned Prof Beverley began in November 2006 and the application to test the vaccine in the Western Cape was submitted 18 months later.

Around this time, Prof Beverley said he heard that the animals in a study had to be euthanized “rather rapidly”.

All the monkeys were infected with TB, but one group was given the widely used BCG jab, a second was given no immunisation and a third was given BCG plus new vaccine.

The baby trial began in July 2009 and almost half of the 2,800 infants taking part were given the new jab.

In 2013, the outcome of the trial on the infants was announced and concluded that the new vaccine offered no increased protection.

Professor Beverley, a principal research fellow at the University of Oxford until 2010, complained formally to the university.

An inquiry was launched and concluded that although there had been no wrongdoing, it “would have been good practice for the potentially adverse reaction observed in the monkey experiment to be reported to the authorities in a more timely fashion.”

Professor Helen McShane, one of the lead scientists who developed the new vaccine, has said that the purpose of the monkey study was to “test the aerosol delivery” to the animals, not to “yield safety information”.

She said it was a “failed experiment” because “there was no difference “ between the groups.

Prof McShane told the Telegraph that there was no delay in providing data from the monkey experiment to regulators.

She said she did not think that families in South Africa were exploited and that regulators had signed off the information sheet that was given to parents.

She added that the monkey trial contained a “limited” number of animals and Professor Beverley was “disgruntled”.

South African Medicines Control Council, which was one of the regulators who approved the trial, said that a “large body of data” – apart from the monkey experiment and which included previous human trials – was considered as part of the approval process.

They also said that the monkey experiment was “not a trial of the vaccine in monkeys” and that “there was no suggestion that the vaccine was unsafe in the monkeys or that it had caused disease or death”

However, when asked about the information sheet that was given to parents, the regulator said, “In retrospect the information on efficacy achieved in the animal studies could be construed as misleading”, although the “evidence of safety in the previous human studies was fairly reported”.

Life Inside a Secret Chinese Bitcoin Mine

In October of last year Motherboard gained access to a massive, secretive Bitcoin mine housed within a repurposed factory in the Liaoning Province in rural northeast China. This is the infrastructure that keeps the digital currency’s decentralized network up and running, and its operators are profiting big time. The mine we visited is just one of six sites owned by a secretive group of four people, part of a colossal mining operation that, as of our visit, cumulatively generated 4,050 bitcoins a month, equivalent to a monthly gross of $1.5 million.

5 Controversies Melania Trump Wouldn’t Mind Forgetting

And you thought US President Donald Trump had been surrounded by controversies ever since he was nominated as presidential candidate.

Well, his wife Melania Trump has been no different. She remained in the limelight for the controversies that surrounded her even before she became the First Lady.

Have a look at some of them.

1. The Daily Mail “Escort” controversy.

The British tabloid Daily Mail published a story on August 20, 2016, making allegations about her modeling career. The article questioned her work and alleged that she provided services beyond modeling. The article suggested that Melania was involved in the escort business.

Melania Trump sued the tabloid and an individual blogger who repeated these false claims. On 12 April 2017, the Daily Mail settled the lawsuits and agreed to pay 2.9 million USD and legal fees to Melania Trump.

It also posted a retraction saying, “We accept that these allegations about Mrs. Trump are not true and we retract and withdraw them. We apologize to Mrs. Trump for any distress that our publication caused her. To settle Mrs. Trump’s two lawsuits against us, we have agreed to pay her damages and costs.”

2. Controversial language in 150 million USD defamamtion lawsuit.

Melania Trump sued the Daily Mail for defamation in a $150 million lawsuit. The original language said “Plaintiff (Melania Trump) had the unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as an extremely famous and well-known person, as well as a former professional model and brand spokesperson and successful businesswoman, to launch a broad-based commercial brand in multiple product categories, each of which could have garnered multimillion-dollar business relationships for a multi-year term during which plaintiff is one of the most photographed women in the world.”

This received heavy criticism as critics questioned whether Melania Trump might be attempting to get benefit from her esteem status as the first lady of the United States. The language was then changed, and the lawsuit was filed again.

3. Immigiration controversy.

Melania Trump found herself surrounded by controversy when the Associated Press broke the story that Melania worked for US illegally. The story said, “Melania Trump was paid for ten modeling jobs in the United States worth $20,056 that occurred in the seven weeks before she had legal permission to work in the country, according to detailed accounting ledgers, contracts and related documents from 20 years ago provided to The Associated Press.”

4. New Year’s Dolce and Gabbana dress controversy.

A controversy sparked after Trump’s celebrated the new year in Palm Beach, Florida. Melania wore a Dolce and Gabbana black dress and Stefano Gabbana quickly expressed pride in dressing the incoming first lady. Melania’s preference for the Italian designer instead of going for an American name received angry reactions. This even forced Mr. Gabbana to engage in a debate with his Instagram followers.

5. When her nude modelling pictures resurfaced.

Melania Trump posed nude in 1995 for a French adult magazine, and in July 2016, the New York Post republished those images. They published several rare pictures of Melania with a headline of “The Ogle office.” Donald Trump was facing a challenge from Ted Cruz that time to secure the GOP (Republican Party known as Grand Old Party) nomination and Cruz’s supporters made the most out of these images.
